Here at Laguna Madre Humane Society, we are a non-profit Humane Society dedicated to the welfare of the animals of the Laguna Madre area which includes Port Isabel, South Padre Island, Laguna Heights, and Laguna Vista. We work with several shelters and rescue groups in the area, primarily the Isabel Y. Garcia Shelter located in Port Isabel.
We are NOT A SHELTER, however we do our best to keep the City of Port Isabel Shelter a no-kill facility by pulling animals they place on their euthanasia list. Along with other individual rescues, LMHS also pulls from many different Valley shelters, including the City of Brownsville and Palm Valley, both of which are high volume, limited capacity shelters.

All of our animals are up to date on their shots and have been spayed or neutered.
